“To Jesus Through Mary”
The Blessed Mother Sodality was formed on February 8, 1940 under the leadership of Rev. Francis X. Osterman. The purpose of this society, open to women, is two-fold: to grow closer to Jesus through the intercession of our Blessed Mother and to support parish and community needs.
In 1997, Sodality established an Altar Committee where the devoted and dedicated Sodalists maintain the Church altars. Through fundraisers, Sodality lends support to charitable organizations in the community. Two major fundraisers are the St. Joseph’s Table, where all proceeds are donated to a local food bank, and a Rummage Sale.
The meetings are held on the Monday after the third Sunday of the month beginning with recitation of the rosary. A spiritual or an information program is presented at most meetings. All women of the parish are invited to join.
In the words of Father Osterman, “Once a Sodalist, always a Sodalist.”
